Host Depot Enhances E-commerce Offerings

Host Depot has partnered with Total Merchant Services (TMS), owned and operated by 21st Century Resources, to provide preferred rates on Internet merchant accounts. Host Depot customers can now sign up for a TMS account at the same time they sign up for their hosting account online at HostDepot.com. TMS accounts support all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover) and several major payment gateways including Authorize.net TotalPay, Verisign PayFlow and Verisign PayFlow Pro. Monthly fees for a TMS account and payment gateway start at $14.95 with a $99.95 one-time setup fee.

Host Depot has also expanded their SSL offerings to include 40-bit and 128-bit secure certificates from GeoTrust, Thawte and Verisign. First year and renewal prices start at $159 with a $50 setup fee. Customers must contact Host Depot to purchase and install secure certificates.

Merchant Wizard™, Host Depot's proprietary e-commerce engine, has received some improvements. New features, such as support for downloadable products, fixed shipping costs, free shipping, handling fees, and coupons have been added. The architecture has been modified to allow for tighter integration with existing site layouts, especially when style sheets are used.
